Posted

BOZEMAN – Weather pattern still on track to produce scattered snow showers Saturday night into Sunday morning and wintry travel concerns for most mountain passes in SW, central, and western Montana.

Above 5,500’ feet snow could accumulate tonight into Sunday morning but even the lower valley floor could see minor accumulations.

Mountain passes could see 2”-8” and valleys 1”-4”.

The National Weather Service continues Winter Weather Advisories for most of SW Montana through Sunday morning above 5,500’.

Snow should diminish late Sunday morning, but a fast-paced disturbance will bring another shot of snow to the region Sunday night into Monday morning and will likely impact your Monday morning commute.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER

A strong westerly flow aloft will pave the way for yet another storm system to pass through Monday late Monday night through Wednesday. A cold front is likely to impact the region Tuesday night into Wednesday.

This event is still a little too far out in time to predict so for now plan on increasing rain or snow and gusty winds Tuesday into Wednesday. Snow levels could fall down to the valley floor by Wednesday morning.
