Wind and snow to move in Friday

Today's Forecast:Temperatures will hover near freezing through the afternoon with pockets of snow in the mountains through the day and moving into valleys late in the afternoon and evening. While the initial snow will bring minimal accumulation, you can expect roads to turn slick and visibility to be limited by the evening drive home. Accumulations across the region are expected to be between 1”-3” by Saturday morning in the valleys with 3”-6” possible in the mountains. Winds will be westerly with gusts between 15-25 mph.

BOZEMAN: High: 33; Low: 13. Mostly cloudy and breezy with late afternoon snow showers likely. West to southwest winds will be between 10-20 mph with gusts near 30 mph at times. Accumulation will be limited but picking up near 4 PM. Total accumulation expected to be 1”-3” by early Saturday morning.

BUTTE: High: 31; Low: 9. Cloudy and cool with snow showers picking up for the early afternoon. Winds will be out of the west between 10-20 mph with gusts near 30 mph. Snow accumulation by midnight near 1” with an additional 1” possible by early Saturday.

DILLON: High: 30; Low: 8. Light snow by the early afternoon with a strong west wind between 15-30 mph. Accumulation is expected to be less than 1”.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 24; Low: -1. Scattered snow showers and windy with 1”-2” possible during the day.
