Warm for Monday with a wintery mix overnight in SW Montana

Today's Forecast:Expect temperatures warm back above average with highs in the upper 30s and low 40s. Clouds will quickly build as we head into the afternoon. Winds will pick up out of the southeast between 10-20 mph. We are tracking a storm system that is expected to track into the area by the evening that will likely bring mountain snow showers with a mix of rain and snow by midnight for a few of the valleys. Overall accumulation in the mountains could range from 3”-8” with valleys picking up between a trace and 1” of accumulation.

BOZEMAN: High: 41; Low: 26. Clouds will move into the region with a southeast wind between 10-20 mph. Scattered rain showers will move in near midnight and bring light snow showers by early Tuesday morning. Accumulations are expected to be between 1”-2”.

BUTTE: High: 38; Low: 21. Mostly cloudy conditions for the afternoon with winds out of the southeast between 5-15 mph. Scattered light snow is expected to develop this evening. The latest model data shows that most areas will see between a trace to 1”.

DILLON: High: 40; Low: 22. Mainly cloudy with gusty wind by the afternoon. Highs will stay above average with a slight chance of snow overnight.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 31; Low: 17. Light snow and cool with a brisk southerly wind between 10-20 mph for the late afternoon. Total accumulation is expected to be between 2”-4” by early Tuesday.
