BOZEMAN – A mild SW flow aloft continues to push temperatures slightly above normal today and produce locally windy conditions from Monida Pass to Ennis to Livingston.

Temperatures are running 3 to 6 degrees warmer compared to yesterday with this pattern and I expect more of the same for Friday.

A steady stream of moisture continues to produce areas of snow and wind across eastern Idaho. Snow and wind is impacting Monida Pass, Raynolds Pass, Targhee Pass, and the West Yellowstone region through this evening.

Winter Weather Advisory continues for the southern tip of Beaverhead, Madison, and Gallatin counties through 5 pm Thursday and across eastern Idaho through 5 pm Friday.

Plan on snow-covered and icy roads, lower visibility at times if you are traveling over I-15 south of Dillon and US 20 into Island Park, ID.

Butte and Bozeman and the rest of SW Montana has a chance for some scattered snow Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. There is a slight chance that Bozeman could see a rain/snow mix Friday afternoon. Regardless, plan on icy road surfaces Saturday morning down on the valley floor and over nearby mountain passes.
