Slow warming trend to begin Wednesday

Posted

BOZEMAN – An unseasonably chilly weather pattern is here and will linger for a few more days. The big picture has a large High-pressure ridge over the Gulf of Alaska and a deep trough of Low-pressure sitting over the four corners.

This is producing a strong Northerly flow aloft and allowing colder Canadian air to drop into Montana. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning we could see lows once again fall below freezing and a few more record lows are possible Wednesday.

The general forecast for the next 2 weeks looks mostly dry. Temperatures will slowly moderate daily and we could be back up into the 70s this weekend and 80s next week.
