BOZEMAN – The atmosphere is slightly unstable Thursday afternoon and isolated thunderstorms have started to develop around 1 pm.
Most of the thunderstorms should be on the weak side producing some brief heavy rain, small hail, gusty winds and frequent lightning.
Most of the rumbles should diminish rapidly by sunset.
High-pressure will begin to strengthen over Montana by the weekend and temperature will rise above normal especially by Sunday into early next week.
