BUTTE – SW flow continues to pump in the moisture and with higher dew points and a little surface heating, the atmosphere becomes unstable in the late afternoon and early evening hours today.
Forecast models show the best chance for stronger thunderstorms will be east of the divide for SW Montana but the far SE corner of Montana (Billings to Miles City southward) could see damaging hail, damaging wind gusts, and very heavy rainfall today.
