BUTTE – Flow aloft is out of the N-NE and this continues to hold temperatures down below average again today. Scattered rain or snow is building mostly along the MT-ID state line Thursday afternoon and evening but this should diminish overnight.

High pressure will begin to build over Montana this weekend but a weak Canadian cold front will sweep across the state Friday night into Saturday morning with only a slight chance for a passing shower Friday evening.

Temperatures are still likely to roll up into the 70s for most areas in SW Montana and a few lucky low 80s are possible near Whitehall by Sunday.
