NEXT WEATHER MAKER:

A weak pacific disturbance will bring a chance of snow to SW Montana Saturday morning and scattered snow is possible mostly over mountains and passes with only a slight chance for lower valley snowfall.

A stronger storm system will impact Montana Sunday into Monday. A warm front Sunday could push max temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s so there is a chance for rain or snow below 5,000′ and if the timing is just right pockets of freezing rain could develop.

Sunday evening into Monday morning all levels should see snow and accumulations are likely so plan on a wintry scenario for travel hazards for your Monday morning commute.

Mountains and passes could see over 3″ and most valleys could see 1″ – 3″ of snow or more. This is a very early low estimate on total snowfall and the numbers will change with updated forecast models runs over the next 24 hours. Regardless of how much snow is predicted there will be travel hazards coming to SW Montana Sunday into Monday.
