BUTTE – No surprises in the weather forecast as expected a bitterly cold start to 2019. Morning lows dropped well below zero -10° to -38° Tuesday morning. No records were broken Tuesday morning.

Lows Tuesday Morning

A pattern change is coming in the next 24 hours. A warm front will arrive Wednesday with warming temperatures. However, increasing surface winds will become an issue for localized areas of blowing snow especially in wind prone areas.

Temperatures could jump well above normal by Thursday and Friday.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY:

The National Weather Service has a Winter Weather Advisory up between Livingston – Big Timber and Harlowton and does include I-90. The reason is increasing wind gusts up to 55 mph that could produce blowing snow and lower visibility through Wednesday evening.
