Manhattan area continues to rumble

MANHATTAN Mont: The Manhattan area continues to see mostly weak earthquakes over the last three weeks. In just the last 7 days nearly 20 earthquakes have been reported by the USGS. Many are between 1.0 and 2.0 in magnitude but there have been a few reach 2.5 to 2.8 in magnitude.

No major property damage has been reported so far from this swarm. MTN news continues to get emails from folks in this region that tell us they have felt the minor rumbles.

The “Central Park” fault line cuts through the Manhattan area and appears to be the focal point for the swarm.
