Winter weather moves back into SW Montana

Today’s Forecast:
Wind, cool temperatures, and scattered rain and snow are possible through your Tuesday.  Expect scattered rain to mix with snow through the afternoon and evening.  Winds are expected to gust between 15-30 mph.  Highs are expected to hold steady in the middle and upper 30s through the afternoon and early evening.

BOZEMAN: High – 40; Low – 29. Expect an east wind between 10-20 mph through the day.  Light rain showers are expected through the daytime hours with the possibility of a rain/snow mix in the late afternoon and early evening.  Light snow is possible overnight leaving a trace to ½ inch by early Wednesday morning.

BUTTE: High – 39; Low – 28. Cool rain showers will mix with snow at times today with a gusty east to southeast wind between 20-30 mph at times.  Snow showers are expected tonight with accumulations between 1”-3” with the foothills picking up between 2”-4”.

DILLON: High – 40; Low – 27. Pockets or rain and snow are possible for the area with a chilly wind between 15-25 mph.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High – 39; Low – 23. Raw temperatures are expected with scattered rain and snow possible. Accumulations are expected to remain light with more productive snow expected in the mountains surrounding the area.

THIS WEEK’S OUTLOOK: 
A low-pressure system will keep moisture in place for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Temperatures are expected to struggle to stay in the 30s during the afternoon.  Thursday is expected to clear with highs in the 40s with highs on Friday expected to top out near 50 degrees under mostly clear skies.  The weekend will bring another dash of cold air and a rain/snow mix on Saturday before clearing out and drying up on Sunday.
