Wednesday morning scattered snow is possible but diminish by afternoon. Stronger East winds are likely Tuesday evening with gusts over 30 mph.

BUTTE: LOW: 28°; HIGH THURSDAY: 38°. Periods of snow tonight with light accumulations for Butte around 1″ – 2″ and icy roads for your Wednesday morning commute. Snow levels to lower to 4,500′. 2″ – 6″ of snow is possible for Homestake and Elk Park passes. East winds 15 to 25 mph tonight.

DILLON: LOW: 26°; HIGH THURSDAY: 40°. Mostly cloudy with scattered snow and gusty winds overnight. Watch for icy roads Wednesday morning. East winds 15 to 25 mph. Wednesday cloudy and chilly with a few rain or snow showers and windy.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 21°; HIGH THURSDAY: 40°. Scattered snow and windy tonight. Snow accumulations around 2″ – 4″ are possible with higher amounts over nearby mountains and inside Yellowstone National Park. Gusty East winds 15 to 25 mph.

 NEXT WEATHER MAKER:

A weak cold front will pass through Montana Friday night into Saturday morning. This will have a minor impact on homecoming events for Montana State University Saturday morning with gusty winds and a little rain or snow.

A stronger blocking High will build over Montana next week and that will bring cooler lows but warming highs possibly nearing 60°.
