Showers move into the area late Thursday

Today’s Forecast:
A cold front is sliding across Montana on Friday and will move into SW Montana late in the afternoon.  Look for light rain and cooler temperatures for the evening with the best potential for rain developing from Deer Lodge to Cooke City.  High mountain snow is likely above 6500 feet, especially in the Beartooth mountains.

BOZEMAN: High – 63; Low – 36. Mainly cloudy for the day with light northwest winds.  Light rain is expected to develop by the afternoon and continue into the evening.

BUTTE: High – 64; Low – 36.  Expect plenty of clouds for the afternoon with a slight chance of light showers for the evening.

DILLON: High – 70; Low – 35. Milder temperatures with a few rays of sunshine.  Expect clouds to continue to build for the afternoon and evening.  Rain chances remain very slim.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High – 63; Low – 29. Rain chances remain slim, though there could be some snow falling in the mountains for the evening.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Temperatures will warm up on Saturday as the cold air moves out of the area early in the day. Look for mainly sunny skies for the early afternoon.  Another batch of cold air is expected to slide into the area for Sunday bringing light rain and highs in the 50s.
