BUTTE – It’s time to turn on the heater as a cooler than normal weather pattern is likely for the last week of September.

This time of the year you need to pay close attention to the forecast lows with some nights likely dropping down to or below freezing.

It’s time to winterize: Campers, sprinkler systems, fix leaky windows and doors, add insulation to attics and walls, start making plans to winterize vehicle tires, cooling systems and make sure the kids are wearing enough clothing in the early morning bus stops.
