The COVID-19 pandemic closed Montana schools for the final two-and-a-half months of the 2019-2020 academic year, forcing students into remote learning. Now, people are wondering how it will affect the upcoming year.

We spoke with School District 2 Superintendent Greg Upham, who talks about the chances Billings schools have of returning to in-person learning, whether masks will be required, and the fears he still has with opening day just six weeks away.
