The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe is announcing several reopenings.

The Gray Wolf Peak Casino and the KwaTaqNuk Resort and casino are both back in operation and are open from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m. Additionally, Big Arm Resort’s Restaurant opened June 11 and is now taking reservations for cabin rentals and RV slip rentals by calling (406) 883-8363.

“We are starting slowly with phase one of our reopening and will continue to evaluate our reopening strategy to maintain a safe environment for all, said Bryon Miller, CEO, S&K Gaming. “We are excited to welcome back our guests and start bringing back the hospitality, gaming and fun that S&K Gaming is known for. I want to thank our guests and team members in advance for their patience as our additional safety measures will undoubtedly create some inconveniences for them, but please know they were put in place for good reason.”

Points of entry into the properties will be limited to the main entrances to allow security teams to conduct a non-invasive temperature check for both guests and team members using hand-held thermometers for temperature detection. Team members or guests confirmed to have a temperature over 100.4°F will not be allowed entry into the property and will be asked to seek an evaluation from their health care provider, according to a news release.

All guests, vendors and employees will also be required to wear a facemask. Masks will be provided to those that do not have their own.

While all machines are available for play, the occupancy limit on the casino floor is 50 guests in the KwaTaqNuk Smoking Casino and 10 each in our two new Non-Smoking Casinos and 150 guests at Gray Wolf Peak. New technology has been added to machines that notify casino staff when a guest leaves a machine, allowing for extra sanitization and immediate cleaning between players.

The KwaTaqNuk Hotel is accepting reservations for all room types and stays. The pool will be open to hotel guests only with a limited capacity of seven swimmers at a time. The front desk can be reached by calling (406) 883-3636.

Changes have also been made at the restaurants to allow for social distancing and many things will be single-use and disposable -- including menus, plates, cups, utensils, and condiments. The casino’s bars have also been modified for social distancing.

Floor markers will be put at all areas where lines form including the casino entrance, hotel front desk, cage area and the Players Club area for safe social distancing.

The casinos and resort initially closed on March 16 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
