MISSOULA – State wildlife officials are looking for information on two elk that were poached early this week approximately seven miles west of Drummond along the frontage road.

Montana, Fish Wildlife and Parks game warden, Brad Balis, said the poaching occurred sometime between the afternoon of Sunday, November 4 and the morning of Nov. 5.

The violator(s) went through a closed gate onto private property and then drove across a hayfield where the elk were field dressed and then removed from the area.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
