A Montana State Prison inmate died at the prison in Deer Lodge on Wednesday, according to a press release.
Public Relations Officer Amy Barton said in the release that 74-year-old Jerry Forsyth died of an extended illness.
Barton said Forsyth’s death was not related to COVID-19.
Forsyth was sentenced out of Flathead County in 1986 for deliberate homicide. He was serving a term of 110 years and became parole eligible in 2000.
Foryth had a discharge date of 2039.
