BILLINGS – The Billings City Council will consider a proposal Monday to dip into up to $80,000 in reserves for residential snow removal.

The city’s public works department expected to use up all its snow-removal money for residential plowing on March 2, according to a memo from Assistant City Administrator Kevin Iffland.

This weekend, one to four inches of snow are forecast for Yellowstone County.

The city has 740 lane miles of local streets, which have been plowed by contractor FirstMark.

The Billings City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
