RONAN – The Flathead Rez Polar Plunge for Special Olympics was canceled on Saturday due to weather conditions, but that didn’t stop Ronan Police Chief Kenneth Weaver.

Throughout the fundraiser, the chief was able to raise $1,567 and to celebrate on Saturday morning, in freezing temperatures, Chief Weaver took a dip in spring creek in Ronan City Park.

Chief Weaver kept his promise. He was able to raise $1567.00 for the Montana Special Olympics. Due to the weather conditions the polar plunge was cancelled, but that didn’t stop our Chief and he made the decision to take the plunge anyways.
