UPDATE

The man and woman killed in the Saturday night crash on Bridger Canyon Drive have been identified as Deborah Jean Stratford, 65 of Bozeman, and Brett Randle Ferre,  41 of Bozeman, according to the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office.

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Two people are dead after a head-on crash involving two pickup trucks on Bridger Canyon Drive Saturday night.

According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Tyler Brant, the incident occurred around 7:55 p.m. Saturday night at mile marker 15, near Flaming Arrow Road.

Trooper Brant said a man driving a white Chevrolet pickup traveling southbound on Bridger Canyon crossed the center line and crashed into a woman driving a silver Dodge pickup northbound. There were no passengers in either truck.

The woman in the northbound truck was wearing her seatbelt; the man driving the white truck was not wearing a seatbelt. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, Trooper Brant said, and alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.
