BUTTE - Town Pump is tearing out an entire city block to put in a larger convenience store location in Uptown Butte.
Crews have demolished a former bar and moved three houses so it can build a larger store at Montana and Platinum streets. The new store will be more than twice the size of the current one and will double the number of fueling stations.
“We've been in Butte since 1953, we're committed to Butte, we're committed to reinvesting in Butte and we just understand the need in this particular area for a larger facility,” said Bill McGladdery of Town Pump.
The current store will remain open until the new store is completed by the end of September.
