BUTTE - While Butte's 3rd of July fireworks display this year has been postponed due to the coronavirus, Town Pump, which sponsors the annual display, said it will go on sometime this year.
Organizers are trying to come up with a date for later this year.
“We're working with the health department, and we're also working with the Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations, to help set a new date that will be safe for people to gather and be kind of a little bit of victory rally after all of this,” said Bill McGladdery with Town Pump.
Town Pump expects the new display date will be sometime late summer or early fall.
