BUTTE - A Wednesday afternoon storm passing through Butte toppled part of a large tree in Uptown.
A large piece of the pine tree located at Caledonia Street and Emmett Avenue fell across some power lines and started smoldering about 3:30 p.m.
Some flames sparked on the downed branches before crews from Northwestern Energy cut power to the lines.
No injuries were reported.
