A big taste of Nashville country and local music are taking the stage this weekend -- in one of the state’s first drive-in live concerts amid the pandemic.
And it’s all happening in a Gallatin County business’s backyard.
Nashville country artist Dallas Remington brought her guitar and her voice from Tennessee to Belgrade, where she’ll be taking the stage at Bubby’s Burger Barn alongside local bands.
Only 500 tickets are available, with six hours of music promised along with concessions and a “drive-in style” setup that aims to keep the entire event fun *and* socially distant.
It isn’t Remington’s first visit to Montana.
She’s won repeatedly at the Red Lodge Songwriters Festival and the folks at Bubby’s and Center Ice Cafe have known her for years.
People will be able to listen to her live from their cars or bring chairs and there are 68 acres of space for others to dance if they want.
Remington says it’s all about supporting local businesses -- and bringing Nashville to those who have been without it for months...including herself.
“This local business has gone out of their way to bring me up here, to put on this show, to do everything and they are trying to make it as safe as possible for everyone,” Remington said. “This is also the first gig, like one of the first big gigs I’ve been able to play in six months because of the pandemic so the fact that Ms. Rhonda is the one getting to put it together and she has gone to so many amazing lengths to put this together, it just blows my mind and I’m so blessed and so grateful to be here.”
Gates open at Bubby’s Burger Barn off of Jackrabbit at 3 pm on Sunday.
Tickets are $30 per person and include two other local bands.
The owners also say adult beverages are available to those who are *not driving and must be enjoyed outside of cars.
The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile will also be at the event.
