BUTTE — A Butte man is facing felony kidnapping charges after he reportedly forced a woman into his car after an argument.
Brandon Marquardt, 38, was arrested Friday morning after officers responded to a disturbance report at the Town Pump on Continental Ave. at 12:30 a.m.
According to a release from Butte-Silver Bow Undersheriff George Skuletich, when officers stopped Marquardt as he left the store, other officers spoke with the clerk who told them a woman was in the bathroom.
According to the woman, Marquardt came to her house and they got into an argument and the man forced her into his car. Marquardt then drove to Rocker, where the woman tried to jump out of the vehicle as he reportedly talked about killing her. Marquardt reportedly grabbed her by the hair and dragged her back into the vehicle. Marquardt was placed under arrest and transported to the detention center.
