BUTTE, Mont. – One man is dead after a rollover crash in Butte Saturday afternoon.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, at about 2:30 p.m., a 66-year-old man from Hall, Montana lost control near the Harrison Avenue on-ramp.

The man was pulling an overloaded trailer when his truck began to fish-tail.

The trailer broke off of the truck and came to rest on the median.

The truck, originally going southbound, flipped and came to rest in the northbound passing lane.

Alcohol, drugs, and speed are not considered factors in the crash, and the man was wearing his seatbelt.

MHP says this was the 44th fatality on Montana roadways this year.
