BUTTE, Mont. – Repairs totaling about $200,000 are being made to the Mai Wah Museum on Mercury Street.

The work is funded by a Partners in Preservation grant that the museum won last fall, along with some local funding.

“So with these buildings well over 100 years old, we’re beginning the restoration that is going to make these buildings sound for the next century,” said Mai Wah Society President Pat Munday.

The restoration will continue throughout this summer.
