Gallatin County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue said in a media release it is currently searching for Ronald Lowny, a 73-year-old Butte man.
According to the release, Lowny’s vehicle was located at the Drouillard Fishing Access site on the Jefferson River near Three Forks, where law enforcement believes it has been since April 10.
The Sheriff’s Office says Lowny was not reported as a missing person, as he has no current family in the area. Butte/Silverbow deputies located a friend of Lowny’s who said Lowny had made suicidal statements when they last spoke.
