BUTTE – Some Montana Tech students found a fun and very messy way to raise money for a good cause.

Students got a chance to throw cream pies in the faces of Montana Tech staff for making a donation to the Bundle Up Butte program that will raise money to purchase sweaters for school children in Butte.

Staff members and even former football coach Bob Green let donors pelt them with pies for this cause that was started by a group of Tech students.

“We just want to give kids something they can show off in and fundraisers can be so repetitive, so we wanted to do something fun to raise money and give people a show,” said event organizer Sidney Jennings.

The group held several events this year to raise money from this program.
