Montana is a rich state for hunters.
A long general hunting season and with special hunts available, game can be taken from the field 11 of the 12 months of the year.
Warden Captain Adam Pankratz says hunters should regularly check with the regulations because of those special hunts. He talked with Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman about those late hunts for the This Week in Fish and Wildlife.
Pantkratz also noted the importance of hunters know the tip line to help with rule-breakers.
1 800-TIP-MONT
is the anonymous number anyone can call if they see someone violating hunting or fishing laws in Montana. Pankratz pointed out how big Montana is and there are very few wardens to cover those acres. He says Tip-MONT calls have helped many times solve crimes and even prevent violations.
