The Montana Army National Guard named the two winners of the Best Warrior competition.
Specialist Jeffrey Lohman took home the Soldier of the Year award.
Sergeant Ciera Balch took home the honors for Noncommisisoned Officer of the Year.
Lohman received special recognition for being the first in the state to earn the maximum 600 points on the new Army Combat Fitness Test.
Balch has the distinction of being the first female to win the Best Warrior Competition in Montana.
Both will go on to compete in the Regional Best Warrior Competition in the spring of 2021.
The Best Warrior Competition includes a number of exercises aimed at testing physical endurance and mental capability.
