BILLINGS - Police said Tuesday a disturbance or altercation preceded the fatal shooting Sunday night in Billings.

Lt. Brandon Wooley said in a press release that officers continue to investigate the incident as a homicide but no arrests have been made.

"This is not believed to be a random act of violence," Wooley said in the release.

The shooting happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the front yard of a home in the 100 block of South 31st Street. A 50-year-old Billings man was shot and died a short time later at the hospital. He was identified Tuesday as Micah Aaron Myron.

Wooley said the investigation is ongoing.
