A parent was arrested at McKinley Elementary School in Billings after he threatened to return to the school with a weapon, according to Billings police.
The school briefly went into lockdown, and the man did not have a weapon when arrested, police said in a tweet.
The lockdown was lifted after 3:20 p.m.
Billings police are continuing to investigate.
20-68988 1521hrs-Mckinley School Lockdown has been lifted. Police responded to a disturbance with a parent who threatened to return to the school with a weapon. Police arrived on scene and arrested the male on the property. No weapon located. Investigation ongoing.
