A man was transported to a local hospital after being tazed while reaching for a gun and running from Billings police after a traffic stop at 1403 1st Ave. N at 7:06 p.m. Tuesday, according to a police tweet by Lt. Brian Krivitz.

The suspect, 42-year-old Larry Rondeau, was driving a truck with a stolen license plate when police pulled him over.

Krivitz wrote that Rondeau ran from the officer and reached for a gun in a shoulder holster. The officer tazed Rondeau and fought with him.
