Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is investigating the death of multiple eagles found in Bozeman.

The eagles were found dead on a parcel of state land near 7th Avenue in north Bozeman.

The cause of death is unknown and currently under investigation.

"Our wardens have been investigating these eagles that have been found dead. We are waiting on some test results that will help us understand better what the cause of death was that hasn’t been determined yet,” said Morgan Jacobsen, FWP information and education manager for region 3.

There are federal laws that protect raptors, so the U.S. Fish and Wildlife services are collaborating with FWP during the investigation.

Anyone with information about the eagles’ death, or any wildlife crimes, is asked to call 1-800-TIP-MONT.
