BUTTE – A woman in Uptown Butte was injured after being shot in the leg Monday evening and police are still trying to determine how it happened.
The 33-year-old woman was shot in the calf by a small-caliber bullet while leaving a home in the 400 block of North Wyoming street about 9:45 p.m.
Police believe the shot came from within the home, but investigators are still trying to determine the circumstances and have no suspect in this incident.
The victim has been treated and released from St. James HealthCare.
