Police have arrested a suspect in the deaths of four people at a property management company in North Dakota.
Chad Isaak, 44, was arrested Thursday on four counts of felony murder days after the slayings at the RJR Maintenance & Management company, according to Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler.
The bodies of three men and one woman were found around 7:30 a.m. on Monday. They were identified as owner Robert Faklar, 52, and employees Adam Fuehrer, 42, Lois Cobb, 45, and William Cobb, 50. Two of the victims were husband and wife, police said Tuesday.
Initially, police did not know how they died, but Ziegler announced with the arrest that they were stabbed and shot.
Hours of video surveillance led police to the arrest. Investigators were able to identify the vehicle of a suspect, Ziegler said. Authorities found the vehicle and executed a search warrant while Isaak was detained, Zielger said, which turned up evidence that allowed officers to arrest him.
The motive for the murders is still unknown, Zielger said, and the investigation is still ongoing.
RJR is a property maintenance and management company and has posted several short statements on Facebook saying it’s closed Monday and Tuesday.
“We will be spending this time discussing our process to move forward and grieve the great losses,” the company said.
The company plans to hold a news conference on Friday.
