BUTTE, Mont. – A wanted man was arrested in Butte after he crashed the vehicle he was driving into a building during a pursuit with police late Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred at a building at Harrison Avenue and Cobban Street when the driver of a white SUV lost control of the vehicle while fleeing from police.
Butte Sheriff Ed Lester said the 31-year-old driver and his female passenger ran from the vehicle after the crash. The driver ended up climbing to the roof the Domino’s pizza building a block away, where he eventually surrendered to police.
The female passenger remains at large. Police said the man is wanted on a federal warrant and a patrol officer tried to pull him over on Ohio Street about 4:40 in the afternoon and the man refused to stop. He remains jailed Saturday evening.
