BOZEMAN, Mont. – Law enforcement arrested two people after a vehicle pursuit from Springhill to the north end of Gallatin County. Residents near Maudlow were alerted Thursday morning to be on the lookout after the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot at approximately 1 a.m.

A passenger,  Chelcie Watson, was charged with possession of dangerous drugs.

At 7 a.m. the driver, William Rogers, was found in a nearby basement and taken into custody without incident. Rogers was arrested for burglary and on warrants for drugs and an attempted homicide in Billings two days ago.

Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin said Bozeman Police initially pursued the suspects, and then were joined by sheriff deputies.

“We were able to locate the male. No one was hurt, and they are both in custody. I know the male in custody for state and federal warrant and the female is in custody for local charges,” said Gootkin.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
