Western football player arrested for sexual assault charge

DILLON – Dillon police confirm to MTN News that a man who plays for the University of Montana Western football team was arrested in connection with a sexual assault charge.

Dillon Police Chief Don Guiberson said police arrested 20-year-old Kyrin Jackson Allen on a warrant on Nov. 2nd on a felony charge of sexual intercourse without consent. Because the case remains under investigation, Guiberson would not release any details about the case.

Allen, who plays defensive back for the Bulldogs, bonded out of jail on Nov. 5th on $20,000 bond.

Montana Western issued the following statement in response:

The University is aware of this matter and we are following our established policies and procedures in response. Pursuant to the University’s Student Athlete Code of Conduct, in these situations, student-athletes are suspended indefinitely from all athletic activities pending the outcome of the investigation. We will await completion of the investigation before commenting further.
