New leads have developed in a two-year-old Western Montana homicide case.
Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Communications Director Robert McDonald says a joint investigation into the murder of William Patrick Conko Camel -- who was shot and killed in Sanders County near Dixon in October of 2018 -- has developed new leads.
CSKT’s Tribal Law Enforcement is questioning two people of interest who are currently in custody on other charges, according to a news release.
Sanders County announced a joint investigation into the death with CSKT earlier this month.
Anyone with information about the shooting of Camel is encouraged to call Detective Martin Spring at (406) 827-6936 or CSKT Investigator Les Clairmont at (406) 675-2700, ext. 1190 or CSKT Detective Vernon Fisher at (406) 675-4700 or (406) 249-6014.
