Tory Gee, who escaped last Friday from the Jefferson County jail, has been apprehended, according to Lake County Sheriff Donald Bell.

Gee was arrested Friday afternoon after a chase near the town of Charlo.

He was found hiding in an outbuilding east of town and ran across a field, and was arrested by US Marshals, with the assistance of the Lake County Sheriff's deputies and CSKT police.

Gee has been on the run since escaping from the Jefferson County Detention Center on October 11. He is suspected of stealing at least three vehicles while on the run from authorities in Jefferson, Madison, and Beaverhead counties.

Madison County plans to have Gee extradited back to face charges.

He was listed on the Jefferson County jail roster as being held on a $50,000 bond for a warrant in Madison County. According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Gee has felony convictions in Beaverhead County for assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and burglary. The Montana Sexual & Violent Offender website states that Gee is a registered violent offender, with a felony conviction for assault with a weapon in 2010.
