Grenade threat prompts police response to Walgreens in Missoula

Law enforcement responded after Walgreens received a phone call claiming there was a grenade inside the building.

We are learning more information about what prompted police to respond to the Walgreens on North Reserve Street in Missoula.

Law enforcement was called to the store at approximately 9 a.m. after Walgreens received a phone call claiming there was a grenade inside.

The Missoula Police Department officers, along with a member of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team and a K9 unit from the University of Montana Police Department responded to the scene.

MPD reports on social media the threat was determined to be unfounded and not credible following an investigation.

There is police activity at the Walgreens on North Reserve Street in Missoula.

The Missoula Police Department is on the scene and the entrances to the building are blocked.
