A $2 million bond has been set for the 25-year-old man who is charged for the double homicide in Stevensville and high-speed chase through Missoula that happened earlier this week.
Logan Dallas Christopher of Stevensville appeared in Ravalli County Court Thursday on several felony charges including two counts of deliberate homicide, attempted deliberate homicide, and five counts of criminal endangerment.
Christopher is accused of shooting and killing his 47-year-old mother, Tiffanie Greenslade, and 25-year-old Marisa Wahl -- who is the mother of his children -- according to court documents. He is also charged with shooting and injuring his father.
Prosecutors say that on Tuesday evening, Wahl had contacted Christopher’s parents and asked them to come to her residence near their home as “something was wrong.”
When Christopher’s parents arrived at Wahl’s trailer, his father grabbed a three-year-old child and took the child to his residence for safety.
Christopher’s father then called 911 for help. He returned to the trailer and found Greenslade laying in the entry room with a gunshot wound, according to court documents.
An altercation with the suspect followed and Christopher’s father was shot in the arm. Prosecutors say he ran from the house while the suspect continued to shoot at him.
Court documents continue that the suspect then left the scene in a Camaro. He was located by the Montana Highway Patrol in Lolo, which led to a police chase into Missoula at speeds that reached 130 miles per hour.
Christopher then crashed the vehicle near Southgate Mall and was taken into custody.
Authorities would later find Wahl dead inside the trailer with an 11-month-old baby. A significant quantity of drug content was also found in the trailer’s bedroom, according to court documents.
Evidence consistent with the suspect’s flight from the home was also collected from the yard, according to court documents.
In addition to the crime scene, a handgun, ammunition, and approximately $4,000 in cash were found loose in the car.
