BILLINGS - Bond was set Wednesday at $1 million for a Billings man charged with stabbing his mother to death.

Beau Papin, 20, appeared for arraignment in Yellowstone County District Court where he was charged with deliberate homicide for the death of 41-year-old Jessica Papin.

Beau Papin was arrested Monday afternoon after police received a report of a disturbance and a woman screaming at an apartment at 143 Calhoun Lane.

Officers arrived and found an open window. After looking through the window they reported seeing blood on an interior bedroom door and fresh blood on the exterior frame of the window.

Once inside, officers found Jessica Papin dead on the living room floor with extensive trauma to her face and deep cuts on the left side of her neck and wrists.

The officers reported an immense amount of blood throughout the living room and a small table was tipped over next to the front door. Officers located a large knife stained with blood lying roughly a foot away from the woman's head.

Video surveillance from the apartment building showed Beau Papin, who is Jessica Papin's son, exiting the rear window of the apartment building.

Two hours after police arrived they found Papin near the apartment covered in blood. Officers arrested Papin and took him to the hospital for injuries to his hand.

At the hospital, a nurse asked Papin how he got the injuries. He allegedly responded, "Haven't you heard? I killed my mom."

If Beau Papin posts bond he was ordered to to be on GPS and to have no contact with the victim's family or witnesses.
