Montana Tech in Butte has 34 positive cases of COVID-19, according to the Department of Public Health and Human Services.
The Butte university has 33 students and one staff member testing positive for the virus as of Wednesday.
Montana tech's chancellor recently sent an email to all students and staff warning about reports of students attending large off-campus gatherings without wearing masks and risking spreading the virus. The Butte university has an enrollment of about 1,500 students.
