The Beaverhead County Health Department is recommending all businesses and public places limit to no more than 10 people at a time and practice social distancing.

The Health Department is not ordering mandatory closures at this time. It will re-evaluate on April 1 or if the county gets a confirmed case of COVID-19.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services has also launched a website dedicated to Montana coronavirus information and lists simple steps to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • Stay home if you’re sick,
  • Avoid contact with sick people when possible,
  • Cover your cough and sneezes with the crook of your elbow or a tissue
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth and wash your hands frequently
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
