Daines and his fellow Montana Republican, Rep. Greg Gianforte are part of the delegation with President Donald Trump flying to Montana from Washington D.C.
Trump will hold a rally at MetraPark at 7 p.m. Daines spoke with MTN News by phone from Air Force One around 4:30 pm.
